I love this story (and its prequels)... do you plan to do a sequel to this?? what's to happen between Laura's family unit and Nick's?? Does Laura ever come around? for some reason I have a hard time seeing her as an evil homophobe... especially with her family, whom she lived most of her formative years with being so AWESOME!

I just finished reading this. This is a really beautiful story. It was sad, but very sweet at the same time.

I love this story so far. Iím an only child so I had to giggle somewhat with the teasing and fighting amongst the Stokes siblings. But this chapter esp. how it ended shook me badly. I have friends who unfortunately are closed minded and even a few relatives too that are against homosexuuality b/c of religious beliefs. But I know all of them would never think the things or say what Mark said. They'd likely get just as mad as Nick did. And while many people may hate Laura or want to go after her I really dont. i dont like that she believes Nick and Greg's relationship is wrong or a sin but I really believe she was shocked by how deeply her husband was against them. And that she truely felt the reason her kids were at the other grandmother's place was the reason that was stated earlier. Hopefully the rest of Nick and Greg stay will be much better and that maybe just maybe Laura might come around just a bit. *off to read more* *hugs* :)

I havenít been into slash for all that long and I randomly discovered this site, can I just say wow! Your fic is what made me sign up to this site! I mean the stuff Iíve read before was all sex, not that I donít want the sex. Itís just really nice to see characters that are fully formed and interesting, and being able to get characters to that emotional point where I can see the relationships really working. Not just working, where you feel that they NEED to be together. I absolutely love this series! I love the way you reference your other stories too  Keep up the good work!

I'm ashamed to admitt this, being that I'm only 23yrs old, but the only version I know....is the Roy Rogers one.....LOL And damn it if I don't just love that man's songs. (I grew up without cable! We were starved for entertainment! They used to show TV shows from the 50's and 60's on this one station we could pick up with our antenna......Dear Lord, I survived childhood with a freakin' antenna!)

Wow, I absolutely love your fic. Laura and Mark remind me of this one Aunt I have. She's become really religious over the years, to the point that she told me that going to a church group would help me get over the crippling anxiety I've suffered with since childhood. (yeah, I was completely offended, but smiled an nodded. We don't make waves in our family. For this very reason, I'm not allowed to speak of the fact that I stopped practicing any form of religion when I was 12 due to my outrage at hypocracy within curches.) Something about reading this made me feel...brave, and after 10 years of knowing, I managed to come out as a Bisexual to my mother. (In everyday life, college, myspace, friends, I'm quite open about it. I just....never told my family.) But your story somehow convinced me that I needed to do it. I kind of knew there wouldn't be an explosive reaction...Though there was a kind of....upsetting? disapointing? insulting?....request that I not tell the relatives, especially not my grandparents (both sets are in their 80's, kind of racist, and homophobic. My sister was informed she'd be disowned if she ever brought home a blackman.....yeah......Gotta love my family.......) Anyways, fantastic story. I just hope that there will one day be more, after I finish Chapter 34.

Fantastic beautiful story about nick'greg and their time on nicks family ranch. Im amazed at how well you tackled the homophobia in nicks sister and her husband. As there is homphobia in real life you managed to tackle a sensitive subject very well. Ginny is such a good character. Maybe she should become an interne at csi?. Absolutely fantastic! i've been a fan for a short while and with every fanfic i read i just want nick'greg to be seen on the tv. Their love is just as strong as gsr.

Gosh, I'm simply in awe of this story. It's romantic and sweet, but not losing the realism. *o* I'm a new fan of this pairing (though I had always like Greg), and I think you captured their characters really well. It's nice to know that there are so many good fics written for this pairing. Oh oh, and I appreciate the cultural references you inserted into the story. ^^ Made me more knowledgeable. Looking forward to reading more!

I've been following this story since I found it some time ago. I want to say that this story was absolutely amazing. You're an amazing writer. You captured my attention with the first few words. The story kept drawing me back at least once a week to see if you had updated yet because I just couldn't get enough of it.
